This Privacy Policy explains how Cozy Room Co (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you visit cozyroomco.com, contact us, or use features we make available.
Information We Receive
- Information you provide: if you email us, we receive your email address, message, and anything you choose to include.
- Downloads and emails: if you get a free printable or buy a download, Payhip (our download service) shares your email address and the item you chose with us. Free Downloads and Our Emails explains what happens next.
- Basic technical information: our hosting, security, caching, and content-delivery services may process an IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, referring pages, and security events in server logs.
- Essential cookies and similar storage: WordPress, security, hosting, or caching services may use technologies needed to keep the site secure and working correctly. Logged-in administrators also receive WordPress account cookies.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate and secure the website, deliver requested pages and downloads, send the emails described below, respond to messages, investigate errors or abuse, maintain records, and meet legal obligations. Where applicable, we rely on consent, performance of a requested service, legal obligations, or our legitimate interests in running a secure and useful website.
Free Downloads and Our Emails
In short: getting a free printable also signs you up for our emails (outside the UK and EU), and you can unsubscribe at any time. We do not sell or rent your email address, and we do not give it to other brands. Only the services that run our downloads, emails and website handle it for us (see Service Providers).
Our free printables are delivered by Payhip, an online shop service that also handles our paid downloads. To get one, you type your email address on Payhip’s download page. Payhip sends you the download link and shares your email address and the printable you chose with us.
Getting a free printable also adds you to our email list. The note next to each download says so: “We’ll also email you the next free plan and cozy home ideas. Unsubscribe any time.” If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you join only if you tick the box that asks for our emails; without it, you still get your download.
What we send: three welcome emails in your first week that match the printable you chose, then about one email a week with new free plans and cozy home ideas. Some emails mention our own paid planners. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email, by replying “unsubscribe,” or by writing to [email protected]. Unsubscribing does not affect downloads you already have.
How the list works: our email list runs on EmailOctopus. It stores your email address, when you joined, whether you are subscribed, and labels that show which printables or planners you got, so we can send emails that match. Our website passes those details (your email address and the printable’s name) from Payhip to EmailOctopus and keeps a short log of the last 30 downloads, with email addresses shortened to their first letter (like m***@gmail.com), to fix problems. Like most email services, EmailOctopus records when an email is opened and which links are clicked; that is why links in our emails start with eot.cozyroomco.com, our own address. We use this only to see which emails are useful. To stop open tracking, turn off images in your email app. EmailOctopus’s privacy policy explains how it handles information.
How long we keep it: if you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you, and your address stays on our list marked “unsubscribed” so you are not emailed again by mistake. To have your details deleted from our list completely, write to [email protected]. Payhip keeps its own record of your download under its own privacy policy.
Earlier checklist requests: before October 13, 2026, our first-apartment checklist page used a form on this website instead of Payhip. If you used it, we still have the private record it created (your email address, the date, and the email choice you made); write to us and we will delete it. Those requests were not added to our email list.
Paid Digital Downloads
Paid downloads use Payhip for checkout and file delivery, with payments processed by PayPal. These services handle the information needed to take payment, provide your files and receipts, and support your order. We can access purchase records through Payhip to help with downloads, order questions, and refunds. We do not collect payment-card details on this website.
Buying a download also adds you to our email list in the same way as a free printable (see Free Downloads and Our Emails), and you can unsubscribe at any time. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
Essential cookies: WordPress, security, hosting, and caching services may use technologies needed to keep the site secure and working correctly.
Analytics: Cozy Room Co uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site — for example, which pages are popular and where visitors come from — so we can improve our content. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects data such as your approximate location, the pages you view, and general device information; IP addresses are anonymized. In the United Kingdom and Europe (the European Union, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland) it runs only if you accept analytics cookies. Everywhere else it runs unless you turn it off, which you can do at any time on our Opt-out preferences page. We also honor “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control browser signals.
Advertising: We use two small pieces of advertising code on our pages: the Pinterest tag and the Meta pixel (Meta runs Facebook and Instagram). They show us which of our pins and posts lead to visits, free-printable downloads and purchases, and they let Pinterest and Meta show our pins and ads to people who have visited our site. They set cookies and tell Pinterest and Meta which pages you view and which download or buy buttons you tap. They never receive your email address. In the United Kingdom and Europe (the European Union, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland) they run only if you accept marketing cookies. Everywhere else they run unless you turn them off, which you can do at any time on our Opt-out preferences page. Grow by Mediavine: We also use Grow, a free tool from Mediavine (a company that runs ads on many websites; we may show its ads here later). It adds a small button that lets you save our posts and share them to Pinterest or Facebook, and it counts visits. It sets cookies and tells Mediavine which pages you view. We never give your email address to Mediavine. Saving posts is up to you: if you tap Grow’s save button, Grow may ask you to sign in to a free Grow account, and that sign-in goes to Mediavine, not to us. In the United Kingdom and Europe (the European Union, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland) it runs only if you accept marketing cookies. Service Providers
We use service providers to host, deliver, secure, cache, and maintain the site and email. These currently include WordPress software, Hostinger hosting and email infrastructure, Cloudflare content delivery and security services, Payhip and PayPal for downloads and payments, EmailOctopus for our email list, Google Analytics, the Pinterest tag, the Meta pixel and Grow by Mediavine as described above, and installed WordPress security and performance tools. They may process technical information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy commitments.
Affiliate Links
Some future pages may contain clearly identified affiliate links. A retailer may receive information when you follow one of its links, subject to that retailer’s privacy policy. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Sharing and Selling Information
We do not currently sell or rent personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us run the site, when you ask us to, to protect rights and security, or when required by law. When the Pinterest tag, the Meta pixel or Grow runs, Pinterest, Meta or Mediavine receives the browsing information described above; you can turn them off on our Opt-out preferences page. If our practices materially change, this policy will be updated before the new use begins where required.
Retention and Security
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, security, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. No online system is perfectly secure, but we use access controls, HTTPS, security monitoring, and reputable infrastructure to reduce risk.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, or to withdraw consent. To make a request, email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify the request and may retain information where the law permits or requires it.
Children’s Privacy
Cozy Room Co is a general-audience home-decor website and is not directed to children under 13. Please contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can review and, when appropriate, remove it.
